Colourful UK brand Bombay Duck London is now available for wholesale purchase after Villa Mondo signed the brand to its portfolio.
Launched to retailers at Reed Gift Fairs Melbourne August, the brand covers gift, homewares and baby product categories.
“For our first presentation at the recent Melbourne gift fair we chose a coordinated range of product that merchandised well with products we have from other suppliers,” says Wendy Fry, owner, Villa Mondo. “We had a bright colour range of photo frames, cushions and jewellery stands mixed in with our fabulous new limited range of Alassis Ocean Drive candles.
“Fine bone china tea cups and coffee mugs rimmed with real gold and silver and decorated with intricate birds, butterflies and spots attracted a great deal of interest. We will be adding to the baby range with the cutest baby bunny booties at the Sydney Gift Fair.”
Villa Mondo spotted Bombay Duck London while visiting London department stores during a business trip. Fry decided to represent the brand because it frequently updates its designs.
“The catch cry at any trade fair or store visit is ‘what is new?’,” she adds. “When particularly looking for gift items, a company that offers an ever changing range of stock has significant appeal for us – Bombay Duck London fits the criteria perfectly.”
After a successful launch in August, Villa Mondo is looking forward to increasing its Bombay Duck London offering in upcoming seasons.
“Our initial launch at the fair was well received, but in hindsight, we should have taken more products for the enquiries that resulted. We will be excited to extend the umbrella range for February 2015 fair leading into the winter season. The designs are fun and presented beautifully.”
