Yellow Octopus releases limited edition mugs range to help Aussie wildlife
While we have had some welcome rain over the last couple of weeks, the recent bush fires are still on our mind and everyone is helping in their own way.
Yellow Octopus founder Derek Sheen wanted to do something that would also make people smile. So the quirky gift retailer has released a range of novelty mugs featuring our favourite Aussie fauna.
“The loss of Australian wildlife has been devastating for everyone,” says Sheen.
“And we wanted to find our own unique way to help that might also cheer people up.
“After months of devastating bushfires, it’s important to take a moment, have a nice hot cuppa, and give yourself a moment. And now you can do that while still doing your bit to help out the affected Australian wildlife.”
The limited edition comes in Yellow Octopus’ true quirky cool fashion, with each animal having its own pun. The funny designs include a cheeky possum pun, an adorable wombat and a pun-tastic budgie smuggler.
“The original intention was to have customers vote on their favourite designs, with the top three going to print. However, the response was so overwhelming that we’ve since decided to go ahead with all six designs in limited quantities.”
The mugs retail for $22.99 with 20 per cent of the sales going to the Wildlife Victoria Bushfire Appeal.
