customers can now complete their high tea experience with the addition of a cake server and cake knife to the cristina re high tea collection.
unable to source cutlery to match her tea cups and pots, re designed her own pieces.
“cutlery was inevitably the obvious extension to the cristina re high tea range,” she says. “it was impossible to find an elegant vintage set to match the range in the australian market, especially something that was beautifully ornate, of good quality and yet affordable.”
the collection also includes fork and spoon sets. all are in a vintage style with 24 carat gold plating. this design was chosen to tie in with the look of the other pieces in the range. “i really wanted to create a gold set of cutlery to match the gold trim on the high tea ware… was amazed there was nothing available in gold.
“gold cutlery used to be considered old fashioned once upon a time, but now it is well appreciated and desirable again,” she adds.
re plans to continue to grow the range with new designs.
“i plan to extend the high tea collection to offer further new colours and patterns that are feminine and beautiful. the new releases will be perfect to mix and match and become collector’s items to invest in and cherish for years to come.”
