Retailers Anna and Tom Milner have expanded their business opening a second store at Coventry Street, South Melbourne.
The duo already has a popular shop in Newtown, Geelong as well as on online store. Their success inspired them to open another location.
“We saw an opportunity because our store in Newtown, Geelong was doing nicely and it was filling a gap – it was something a bit different from what was already around and our online store was working well, so we decided to find a good spot in Melbourne,” says Anna. “South Melbourne, Coventry Street is a great street [that] suited our product.”
Customers will find a variety of designer brands from around the world inside @luxe by design including Missoni Home, Dinosaur Designs, Eva Solo and QLOCKTWO by Biegert & Funk.
“The brands that we put together in our store is quite a unique mix and we like to make a brand statement, so we we don’t just buy one of something we buy the whole range so it looks like a real statement. It’s definitely designer brands that people know and brands from around the world.”
The only difference between the South Melbourne store and the Geelong store is the size which means Anna and Tom can add furniture to their offering.
Opened only a week ago, the new @luxe by design has received a warm welcome from locals who say it’s a great addition to the popular local shopping scene.
