SunnyJim expands range with new prints and products
After debuting in 2012 with a beach bag and sun shade, SunnyJim has expanded its offering with a yoga style bag, tote, backpacks, make up bags and throws.
The yoga bag was designed due to the popularity of the sun shades, which also fit into it, as a way to hit another price point.
SunnyJim’s new pieces also come in a range of new prints which were extensively tested among family and friends of owners Emma and James.
“The two most popular have actually been the Copacabana Circle, which is a geometric print and a lot of people have made comments that it’s quite on trend and I guess the colours are quite unique and the pattern is repetitive and striking,” says Emma. “Also, the Bondi black and white seems to be a traditional colour combo and that has been really well received as well.”
The husband and wife team launched the brand because of their love of the beach. The name comes from the nickname James’ grandfather gave to him.
There are now stockists across Australia and SunnyJim has also received interest from the US and South Africa. It will continue to add new colours and designs to the collection.
“We’re also in production mode to launch new products which will hit different price points, so anywhere from $15 up to $200 plus and falls into the beach or outdoor lifestyle, so that’s ping pong bats in groovy colours as well as a new towel range, deck chairs in our range of colours which we think will be quite a big hit next year.”
SunnyJim has also launched a new website.
