Clothing in gift and homewares stores is continuing to grow with the introduction of new wholesale business Infinity Creations Australia.
Based on the NSW Central Coast, Infinity Creations Australia stocks Carter James Apparel, Brooklyn & Bailey and Brooklyn & Bailey Beachhouse. Best-sellers include Pinacolardo shorts, Brooklyn & Bailey 4D folio print tunics and kaftans.
“We believed there was a place in the market that could offer affordable fashion, great gift and accessory product lines at the right prices,” says Jo Flint, director. “We source the globe including New York and Asia to see what is available and what suits Australian lifestyle.”
The wholesaler made its first trade fair appearance at Reed Gift Fairs Sydney September where it received plenty of interest from retailers, particularly on product selection and pricing.
Flint believes the growth of apparel in gifts and homewares stores has come from retailers looking to provide a wider variety for their customers.
“Definitely [from a] need to try and offer a selection in their stores,” she adds. “Also a trend has come from Southern California – lifestyle stores with an element of homewares, fashion and gift to provide the consumer with a one stop shopping experience.”
