After debuting with the award-winning Savannah Smart tongs earlier this year, VGM International has grown its Savannah Smart range with five new products about to hit store shelves.
The new pieces include the Savannah Smart mill, auto mill, cheese grater, flaxseed mill and stone wine aerator.
“For a product to fall into the Savannah Smart category it needs to have a clever or unique feature that truly sets it apart in terms of materials and function,” says Chris Peterson, VGM International national sales and marketing manager. “We like to ask, how could this work better or faster or more easily for the user?”
This concept has led VGM International to add an automatic base shut-off to its Smart mill and a planetary grinding system to prevent jamming in its Smart auto mill, while the flaxseed mill grinds small hard seeds quickly and finely. It has also led the company to create a wine aerator that does the job in the glass or wine bottle and a cheese grater that applies pressure mechanically, taking out the effort associated with most barrel graters.
Peterson says the expansion of the Savannah brand into various collections like the Smart range is part of its evolution.
“The focus of Savannah is on developing high quality kitchenware that truly works. As the brand has grown, ranges or series of products have been created depending on their function, materials, styling…
“Some of the Savannah products are classic lines such as stainless steel tools – that boast highly specified materials – and others are completely unique such as the AvoShark. The Smart range introduces smart functionality to popular kitchenware items,” he adds.
“Similarly to other Savannah products, the Smart range is beautifully packaged with comprehensive information on the box and each product has a minimum five year quality guarantee.”
