New US candle brand to hit Aussie shores
Importer and distributor Candle Me is adding to its portfolio with US candle brand, Jazz Candle Company.
This will be the first time the Jazz Candles range has been available in Australia, and Candle Me founder Michele Rose says she is excited to offer retailers and their customers such a strong product.
“We chose Jazz Candles due to their exceptional high quality unique black fleur de lis and ball lids which are manufactured exclusively for their candles,” Rose explains. “[The products] only use the finest supplies.”
Started in 2012, Candle Me is also the Australian distributor of Our Own Candle Company’s signature Mason jar soy candles, which Rose discovered while on holiday in the US. “Everyone who walked into my home commented on how nice it smelt and sometimes thought I had something in the oven baking,” she says. “The scents are so strong it would flow right through my house.”
When she tried to order more and discovered Our Own Candle didn’t ship to Australia, Candle Me was born.
Rose decided to take on Jazz Candles because she wanted to branch out from her current market. “Jazz Candles is a totally different market to the Our Own Candle Company brand,” she says. “Our Own Candle covers the country, vintage, primitive style, while Jazz Candles adds an elegant upmarket range to our collection.”
Jazz Candles is based in Shreveport, Louisiana, and Rose says its setting is what gives the Jazz range a point of difference. “This location gives Jazz Candles the style and difference we were looking for in a new line to add to our collection, with the southern US and French feel to the product.”
Along with candles, Jazz also has room sprays, Poochie Perfume, Sweet Dreamszzz linen sprays, Spritz Your Ride car sprays, reed diffusers and wax melts.
Candle Me will be exhibiting at the August Reed Gift Fair in Melbourne and will be showing the Jazz Candles range, along with a new collection of Tin Candles with vintage labels from Our Own Candle Company, which were recently launched in the US.
“I have already had great excitement from my existing shop owners who love my candle range, so I am sure the shop owners and buyers attending the Melbourne fair will also fall in love with my candles and new products,” adds Rose.
