Stylish new range from Art Club Concept
Modern Muse, the autumn/winter 2016 range from homewares brand Art Club Concept, features on-trend hues, luxe detailing and graphic prints.
Popular tones including blush pink, icy grey and navy all make an appearance in the collection, but while director Ben Lawry says current trends always influence Art Club Concept designs, they never dictate what his team creates.
“I’ve always firmly believed in understanding the market but never compromising on our authenticity and DNA,” he explains.
“Each range is always inspired and fuelled by the desire to continuously innovate, push boundaries and create products that inspire ourselves and our customers.”
Products in the Modern Muse collection include cushions with luxe details like copper zips, wall art prints and clocks with special finishes (the monochromatic urban grid design is a particular standout).
Colour is used as a starting block but inspiration also comes from Lawry’s day-to-day life. “Each range is not inspired by one particular theme, it’s more that we draw inspiration from everything in our lives,” he says.
“This is hugely influenced by living in Melbourne, where there’s an endless supply of inspiration to be found around every corner.”
Lawry began Art Club Concept after a decade in the fashion industry, and he brings this experience to his latest venture.
“I was ready to explore a new creative platform and outlet,” he says. “Always having a love for art in the home, Art Club Concept was the perfect next step within the creative industry.”
Passion, innovation and creativity are the driving force behind the brand, and Lawry says this carries through in everything his team—which he cites as the best thing about running his business—creates.
“This also funnels into the idea of creating artwork that impacts people’s lives in a positive way. Art has always been more than a product to me; it’s the positive impact it has on our customers’ lives consciously and subconsciously.”
This year is set to be a big one for Art Club Concept, with international expansion and a collaboration with a local Australian artist on the horizon.
