Kikki.K aims for world domination with new partnership
In an effort to expand its global reach, Australian stationery brand kikki.K has partnered with product development and design business Gartner Studios.
While the company has already seen huge success in the UK, being stocked in stores such as Selfridges, John Lewis and Harrods as well as 78 Nordstrom stores in the US and 81 Indigo stores in Canada, founder Kristina Karlsson wants to open another 400 wholesale doors globally in 2018 alone and up to 3,000 over the coming years.
“I’ve dreamt of seeing kikki.K products in the lives of people across the US and Canada since the very beginning,” she explains.
“We made that dream a reality with our online store and then our launch in Nordstrom and Indigo in 2017. I’m so excited we’ve now partnered with Gartner Studios to help introduce our brand to even more of the US and Canada.”
kikki.K gained a cult-like international following soon after its launch in 2001 and, in just 17 years, Karlsson has grown the brand from a single store to over 330 locations worldwide, plus an online store shipping to 140 countries.
Through the partnership with Gartner Studios, kikki.K seeks to simplify and systemise its US and Canadian product offering and distribution for both wholesale and direct to consumer ecommerce fulfilment.
kikki.K has a loyal US following already shopping regularly online at kikki-k.com, but entering the brand into new doors in the US and Canada will give existing and new kikki.K fans the opportunity for a more tangible experience.
To promote the partnership, Gartner Studios and Karlsson will be showcasing kikki.K at the 2018 New York Stationery Show at the Javits Centre this May.
