fans of armadillo&co will need to be quick if they want a piece from the new quartz weave collection as it will only be available for one season.
this range was selected as the brand’s first limited edition because it is more of a statement rug than most of its other designs.
“we like being unpredictable and keeping our range fresh and exciting,” says jodie fried, co-founder and creative director. “the collection is a lovely injection of pattern and colour, which is great for this time of year when people are emerging from the winter months and thinking about refreshing their interiors.”
quartz weave rugs are available in limestone and white, charcoal and crimson, crimson and limestone, and crimson and shale.
“the idea sprang from the mineral structure of natural quartz – those entrancing, organic multifaceted crystals,” says sally pottharst, co-founder and creative partner.
“we deliberately went for a sophisticated, mature and quite masculine feel, which adds another dimension to our existing collections,” adds fried.
the rugs in the range are made from a mix of new zealand and indian wools.
“the weave is both enduring and embracing – a lot like our ideals. everything we produce adds strength to the communities of artisans we employ and also creates a wonderful social fabric within our local circles that feels very warm and inviting,” say pottharst and fried.
quartz weave will be available until christmas.
