Abode Aroma Scented Sentiments launched
Apsley and Company has found success with its new gift and card in one range Abode Aroma Scented Sentiments.
The product was inspired by heartfelt phrases but combined with home fragrance to create a unique concept.
“Abode Aroma offers greater relevance and meaning to the practice of giving greeting cards by combining heartfelt sentiments with the transcendent gift of home fragrance,” says Briar Yates, Apsley and Company marketing coordinator. “The flip top box also has a ‘to’ and ‘from’ section so there is no need to buy a card. Inside you’ll find a newly shaped, rectangular 25ml mini lemongrass fragrance diffuser – our top selling fragrance – with a silver cap and stylish white wicks.”
Retailers had their first glimpse of the range at the Melbourne Reed Gift Fair in August. It was clear the collection was a hit by the first day – especially because of the price point – with many customers buying all six designs.
“Customers are always looking for something out of the ordinary, an untapped niche which creates interest. Scented Sentiments is that perfect gift because it combines two gifting elements, displaying increased perceived value because you’re getting something extra other than just a gift or a card. It is also the perfect price point for consumers at under $20, an easy, thoughtful last minute gift that is affordable.”
Scented Sentiments is aimed at a wide range of consumers and marketed as the perfect last minute gift.
Apsley and Company plans to add to the range in the coming seasons. “We see huge potential in this range and already have various range extensions in the pipeline for Christmas and the New Year,” Yates adds. “Each new range within the Scented Sentiments collection will vary slightly in packaging design, but keep that strong fun colourway and cater for a wider market segment in regards to the sayings themselves, for example the new humour range.”
