AGATHA Paris jewellery to launch in Australia
selected local retailers will be given the opportunity to stock the agatha paris brand of jewellery, which is currently in 330 boutiques in 25 countries and will be available in australia later this year.
founded 38 years ago in paris, the label was created to bridge the gap between jewellery at luxury boutiques and chain stores and turn cheap into chic.
products to hit the australian market include the mini joaillerie and ceramic collections, hairclips handmade in france and the brand’s signature scottie dog mascot. consumers will also be able to buy from six collections a year inspired by the latest catwalk and fashion trends.
“agatha paris is about giving women the freedom to express themselves from day to day with quality pieces that don’t cost the earth,” says agatha paris australasia’s mitchell grant. “the jewellery skips from playful and witty to chic and stylish. the collections are designed so women can own multiple pieces and mix and match them to what they are wearing or how they are feeling.”
an average of 1,000 of the brand’s products are sold worldwide every hour and 200 watches are sold a day.
french ceo maxine elgue says she is excited to bringing agatha paris down under.
“it is wonderful to be bringing a slice of parisian style – along with a large helping of agatha paris’ chic and sassy spirit – to australia. i know australian women will find agatha paris as much of a delightful discovery as their peers around the world have and i look forward to seeing how australia’s style and fashion leaders influence agatha paris in the years to come,” she says.
