Alliance Furniture finds success with new collection
Alliance Furniture Trading has taken inspiration from 19th century American furniture making techniques for its recently launched range, Post Modern.
Unveiled at the Sydney Gift Fair, the collection sold out before the trade show ended. The wholesaler is now taking orders for its next shipment of available stock.
Pieces include the Declaration armchair and St Williamsburg three seater. Owner David Trope says the Post Modern range harks back to before and during the Industrial Revolution.
“The exposed framework, hand aged leather, distressed nailheads and recessed hessian are testament to these time tested techniques and create pieces inspired by the notion of a well- loved piece of furniture in the process of being restored, defined by its character and strength,” he says.
“The Post Modern collection is characterised by rich hand aged full grain leather contrasted with a finely crafted exposed distressed timber framework. Each piece is accented by exposed aged nailheads and features hessian backing and the simple visual architecture of quality workmanship.”
The new range follows on from Alliance Furniture Trading’s other collections Katz and Trope, Aged Leather and Paradiso.
Trope says the Post Modern collection will be suitable for use as an industrial accent or as a statement piece in contemporary décor.
“This range is for the retailer who appreciates character driven pieces which are hand crafted to inspire, and built to last – and who loves to share the experience of innovative designs and quality craftsmanship with their customers.”
