Anna Chandler opens new showroom
Anna Chandler Design has relocated from its large factory to a smaller warehouse and showroom space, after stopping manufacturing.
After nearly 30 years of manufacturing in Australia, owner Anna Chandler says the company decided to make the change to a primarily import/wholesale company, making the approximately 300 square metre space the perfect new location.
“We did not need a large factory space, but more of a warehouse/distribution/office space, with a small showroom,” she says. The move also means staff members don’t have to commute as far, and the showroom is next to a small café, making it more convenient for visitors.
The space is open to both trade and retail customers, and will feature the entire Anna Chandler range. “It will be perfect for our wholesale customers to call in and see new products and entire ranges displayed how I would put them together,” explains Chandler.
Unlike the company’s previous retail stores, the showroom will only feature Anna Chandler Design products, including home, gift and accessories. As the company has a large online retail presence, it will also give online customers a chance to experience the products and buy them in person.
With a coat of paint the only thing needed, the move took just two weeks, and Chandler says she has enjoyed decorating. “I have a storeroom full of interesting props and shop fittings that I have collected for many years from flea markets, so that bit is always the most fun.
“It is a true warehouse showroom, so has that feel about it rather than a retail shop in a shopping centre.”
The Anna Chandler Design showroom is located at 2/27 Zeta Crescent, O’Connor, Perth.
