Annabel Trends launches Canar in Australia
Already popular overseas, the Canar brand from Belgium company Dhink has signed with Annabel Trends for distribution in Australia.
The fluoro coloured money boxes are the first products to be rolled out locally with more designs on the way once Canar’s popularity has been established. Money boxes are a natural fit for Annabel Trends, which has had great success with its big fat pig, big fat cow and big fat owl designs.
“We fell in love with the Canar duck money box at the recent European gift fairs and see this as just the first of more from this great design company,” says Sally Dunn, Annabel Trends director.
“Canar is a great design. It’s a simple design that is set apart from the usual rubber duckie look, much more contemporary. Also, when Canar is tipped on its side, it becomes a love heart – very sweet.”
Canar money boxes will be launched at Reed Gift Fairs Sydney. Annabel trends is expecting the product to be a big hit.
“Canar currently has over 17,000 followers on Facebook, which is amazing for a product that was only released in 2012,” adds Dunn. “People from all over the world post photos of Canar in all sorts of settings…cityscapes, at bus stops, on skateboards. It’s really fun. I’m sure Australians will love Canar just as much as the rest of the world.”
