Arro Home opens to retailers
Melbourne-based homewares brand Arro Home made its trade fair debut at Life Instyle Sydney in February this year, after launching to market in 2014.
The brand was started by designer Beci Orpin and entrepreneur Adam Rogers, who share a passion for interiors. “We met back in 2012 whilst working on a project together, and bonded over our enthusiasm for homewares,” explains Rogers. “We both saw a gap in the market for well-priced, characterful designs and in 2014 Arro Home was born.”
Arro—which is an amalgamation of the founders’ names—currently stocks a colourful range of soft furnishings, rugs, bedding, glassware and ceramics, all designed in its Melbourne studio. The brand works closely with both local and international manufacturers to produce the high-quality items.
“We see inspiration everywhere—our designers carry sketchbooks around with them all the time, as they never know when inspiration will strike,” says Rogers. “Our next collection draws heavily from nature, featuring forest and jungle themes.”
The duo says it is great to learn customers are enjoying using their products. “Our biggest highlight is seeing how people use Arro in their own homes—we love it when customers share snaps with us on Instagram of Arro products in situ.
“Our biggest challenge thus far has been not having enough stock for our eager customers. In previous collections we’ve had to put styles on back-order, however, our team has been working hard to make sure the same thing doesn’t happen in coming collections.”
Debuting at Life Instyle was a good starting point for the brand’s wholesale expansion, and an opportunity to interact with like-minded retailers, says Rogers. “Life Instyle was our first trade fair, and we loved having the opportunity to meet both our existing suppliers and new retailers.
“We are quite selective about who stocks Arro, with all our stockists selected for their curation of unique, high quality and complimentary brands.”
