Artist behind Skye’s the Limit releases book
the talent behind skye’s the limit stationery and gift ranges, skye rogers, has released a coffee table book full of paper projects and craft inspiration.
rogers’ first book to combine her passion for writing and creativity – named paper bliss – was created to share her journey in hand making and to use up some left over material.
“my new book chimes so well with not just what i’m into, but what i believe is the way of the future – ‘everyday’ people creating richly textured and innovative interests and lives outside of ‘work’ for themselves,” she says.
“i’m certainly no expert, rather i just wanted to add to the knowledge already out there and share what i have learned. it is as much about the creative journey as it is a project-based book.
“another reason i wanted to write paper bliss was to use up all my old unusable cards, so it was partly about recycling and…upcycling, which is to make something beautiful out of something that might have been relegated to the rubbish.”
retailers currently stocking skye’s the limit products have also purchased the book to sell alongside her other products. it’s expected consumers already buying products from the brand will also be attracted to the book because of its similar style.
“the book is a great add on to my skye’s the limit ranges as the philosophy and aesthetics are the same. some stores are making a little story with the book and the products together and i am also doing some handmade items from the book for those who’ve requested that. it’s important to follow through, to back up your products.”
