Ashdene collaborates with Aussie designer on new range
Melbourne designer Trudy Rice is launching a new collection created with Australian manufacturer, Ashdene.
Featuring her distinctive artwork, this new line celebrates the native Australian wren and Banksia plant.
“As an artist, inspiration is collected from my surroundings and I always seek new challenges and explorations to push my creative limits,” explains Rice.
“Creating art and translating it into designs for different industries is exciting. From designing wallpaper murals for cafes to creating large-scale murals for hospitals, the feedback I’ve received has been very positive and I am motivated to create unique and meaningful art that resonates with people from all walks of life.”
The Enchanted Banksia collection features a beloved native Banksia flower and the tiny wren of Australia. The teapot and cup set, mug, water bottle, travel mug, placemats and coaster, tea towel and apron are made with high-quality materials and will add a touch of elegance and charm to any home.

“Our family property has a stunning garden that features the iconic Banksia flower,” she says.
“When turning the soil, we often spot the charming native wren. These two natural wonders never fail to inspire me and I draw a wealth of creative ideas from them to curate a collection that truly captures the marvels of nature.
“After receiving the brief from Ashdene, I started work in the studio to create a design that would perfectly match their suggested product range.”
