Aussies can now buy second-life furniture & homewares from IKEA
IKEA Australia is giving customers the chance to get incredible savings on its second-life products.
Launching this week, As-Is Online is an online shopping platform for customers to browse and reserve second-life IKEA furniture and homewares anywhere, anytime.
Recent research reveals one in five (22 per cent) Australians buy second-hand goods all or most of the time and 21 per cent completely avoid buying anything new.
“Our new As-Is Online platform gives our customers an easy way to shop more sustainably and find the perfect home furnishing products to make their life at home better,” says Lachlan Mitchell, product recovery leader, IKEA Australia.
Customers can browse for discontinued items, gently used and ex-showroom displays, as well as pre-loved products returned through the Buy Back service.
With the cost of living continuously rising, affordability is top of mind for Australians, Mitchell explains.
“As-Is Online could not come at a better time for customers to get a great deal on second-life items, with prices ranging from 20 to 75 per cent off the original product’s price.”
As-Is Online is part of the retailer’s goal to become climate positive by 2030 by giving usable items a second chance and a second home, minimising unnecessary waste and environmental impact.
