BeyondCool to distribute Asobu range
Wholesaler BeyondCool has signed on as distributor of the Asobu drinkware range, created by Canadian company Ad-N-Art, throughout Australia and New Zealand.
This is the first time Asobu will be available in Australia, and BeyondCool will launch the brand at the Sydney Home and Giving Fair this February.
According to director Teena Townsend, BeyondCool took on Asobu after seeing the success it has had in other markets. “A few fellow importers abroad who also stock some of our brands in other countries are also now importing Asobu (as it is such a great compliment to our existing brands), so it was a no brainer really,” she explains.
“Innovative and functional quality has been a prime reason for us to bring Asobu into the market. Their products are fun and creative and they are dedicated to building a product line that delivers in value and creativity.
“BeyondCool is an importer and distributor of some of the world’s leading accessories in wine, homeware, kitchenware and giftware brands [and] our promise is to bring ‘hot products for a cool lifestyle’. We think that Asobu fits the bill exactly.”
The creative Asobu range includes the Pint Glass Opener which has a bottle opener attached to the base; Ice Vino 2 Go, a glass that chills wine while you sip, and the vacuum-insulated stainless steel Imperial Wine, which keeps wine at the perfect temperature.
As well as being functional, Townsend says that Asobu products also fit into the Australian outdoor lifestyle, and make great gifts. “The products are aimed at outside entertaining—by the pool, the beach, a picnic, the boat or on the go.
“It’s a great giftware range…The packaging is fabulous and the products speak for themselves in terms of quality and function.”
Townsend is anticipating a positive reaction from customers at the fair. “We’ve had requests from retailers to look into importing this brand based on its success abroad, and that is what really set the ball running on this for us.
“The retailers will be comfortable in selling these products as the Asobu range offers an uncommon and innovative ground which will be a great tool to market them to the end user. It will be an easy addition to their mix of products and offers something new and different in terms of giftware and products for the Australian market.”
