Bobangles adds another stationery brand to business
us stationery brand cavallini & co will now be distributed in australia by bobangles after they signed a deal at the national stationery show in new york.
owner catherine shann has been a long time fan and was thrilled when the opportunity to represent the label came up.
she says it compliments bobangles’ current stationery ranges. “we now distribute ask alice and sunday paper, both of which are designed and manufactured in melbourne and [represent] galison, which has a long standing history with us. adding cavallini to the mix is such a positive move.”
bobangles now has a solid brand mix for both its stationery and toy categories.
“our toy ranges, mudpuppy, peaceable kingdom, mary meyer, hello hanna, kid style and scribble down are all very strong for us. the stationery and toy ranges are now tracking quite evenly for us. both are extremely important to bobangles,” shann explains.
in order to boost cavallini & co’s presence in australia, bobangles will use a larger stand at the melbourne gift fair in august and devote a big space to the launch. but shann says they will continue to aim for independent retailers.
“our focus is on looking after our independent retailers and ensuring that we carry plenty of backup stock to ensure our stockists always have follow-up orders without delays [and] no mass market. our lines are really designed for independent retailers who will display and market the products properly.
“[also] we do not sell direct to the public. our retailers are our bread and butter and they are our focus,” she adds.
