Boutique store launches interiors collection
Melbourne-based store The Design Edit has launched its latest furniture and homewares range online, featuring Scandinavian inspired wooden furniture, iconic replica designer pieces, and stylish homewares.
Husband and wife team Jason and Danni Tan say the carefully curated line is inspired by their own personal taste. When they left the corporate world behind to embark on a building project as owner-builders, they became involved in every detail of the design and decoration, developing their love for furniture and homewares.
“When curating products for The Design Edit, we only consider items that we’d personally put in our own home,” says co-founder Danni Tan. “When you purchase one of our pieces, you are making that item a part of your life and inviting it into your home―that’s a big deal and it’s a privilege we take seriously.”
The boutique store showcases premium homewares brands like Amalfi, Zakkia and LindDNA as well as unique furniture pieces made from premium materials such as top grain Italian leather, soft cashmere and solid wood.
However, The Design Edit believes in supporting local talent and showcasing the unique works of Australian artisans in their store and online.
“The Design Edit supports local designers by giving them a platform to display their beautiful creations. This special collection features unique pieces that have been lovingly and locally handmade by independent Australian designers, making them truly one of a kind.”
