Bright Wonders signs distribution agreement with Scottish brand
Toy and gift company Bright Wonders has been appointed the exclusive distributor for The Crafty Kit Co in Australia.
The award winning Scottish brand designs fun craft kits that come complete with everything you need to complete a project including all the essential tools, materials and full colour, step-by-step photographic instructions.
Bright Wonders owner, Teresa Roos, stumbled across the business when looking for a craft brand that offered something unique and sustainable, from an alternative supply chain.
“With its ‘Made in Scotland’ and eco offering underpinning the brand as well as its unique needle felting base, The Crafty Kit Co appeared to be a great match,” she says.
“Fast forward to numerous phone calls, zoom meetings and samples and we have a great connection, sharing the same values and new brand on board.
“Bright Wonders specialises in beautiful children’s toys, gifts, games and craft from quality European suppliers. The Crafty Kit Co will be a perfect fit with the rest of our brands and we are excited that they are joining our award winning portfolio inspiring playthings.”
The agreement includes access to all of The Crafty Kit Co’s kits across needle felting, sewing, felt craft, knitting and cross stitch. Bright Wonders will be launching the brand with over 10 different skus with plans to increase the portfolio in 2022.
Earlier this year The Crafty Kits Co was awarded ‘Best Sustainable Craft Company’ in the Craft Business Awards. The needle felting kits all contain Corriedale wool fleece, a 100 per cent natural material that is fully biodegradable. All packaging is made from recyclable cardboard boxes and The Crafty Kit Co is a member of the Eco-Packaging Alliance, meaning that the packaging used is helping to plant trees in areas of need.
“We love toys that are long lasting and those that have a lower environmental impact, as such we actively seek out brands that are committed to using environmentally friendly materials, designing toys that last and use reduced packaging,” adds Roos.
Additionally, the company has a deep purpose beyond profit, one that is rooted in service and giving back. Their partnerships and charitable contributions mean that every craft kit sold helps amazing things happen for the people and places that need it most. This includes the Buy One Give One movement which supports global charities and projects.
The Crafty Kit Co is available in Australia through Bright Wonders from November.
