After a successful debut in Melbourne, Corner Block Studio is bringing its sustainable timber frames to Life Instyle Sydney.
Industrial designer Natalie Lane started the brand in 2015 and the range now includes book frames, card fames and record jacket frames. The idea is that the frames grow and change with you, so you could display a Valentine’s Day card one week and a horizontal postcard the next.
“They are unique because they evolve with your tastes and interests,” says Lane. “They’re adaptable and easy to use, so no more stalling on putting up your favourite pieces. It’s a neat advantage that they don’t contain glass and they collapse for easy gifting and moving.”
As the frames are so versatile, Lane says they suit a range of stores from homewares and gift shops to bookshops and children’s boutiques.
“Our frames pair well with an existing range of books and greeting cards which makes visual merchandising fun and easy… If your customers care about where products come from and who makes them, we want to be with you.”
Corner Block Studio is a value-led business and at the heart of it is a desire to create timeless homewares that last. The products are made in the Corner Block workshop in Brisbane using environmentally responsible materials including recycled timbers and sustainable hoop pine, which is sourced from local plantations.
