Bubba Chew goes international
Bubba Chew silicone teething jewellery has made its first move into the overseas market after securing a stockist in Canada.
While Bubba Chew only launched six months ago it has gone from strength to strength, selling more than 50 necklaces a week through its own website and Wholesale Baby.
Owner Renee O’Regan is thrilled her business is starting to grow internationally.
“[It’s] very exciting,” she says. “To think Bubba chew silicone teething jewellery can be successful overseas is more than I had hoped when starting my little business. Bubba chew has differentiated itself by providing mums with more options, therefore different colour and style combinations. The large range appeals to a larger audience.”
Bubba Chew was created after O’Regan became a mum. She wanted to wear jewellery that could withstand a baby chewing and grabbing.
“I wanted to still be able to wear stylish jewellery after Charlotte was born, but from previous experience with other friends’ and relatives’ babies, who tugged away at my necklaces and placed into their mouths to chew on, I knew that my old jewellery just wouldn’t be suitable.”
The necklaces are BPA, phthalate, PVC, cadmium and lead free. They feature safety breakaway clasps to prevent snapping.
