Kate & Kate has expanded its product offering with the launch of Kate & Kate Baby, a smaller sized blanket to suit bassinets.
The new addition was sparked by popular demand and comes in some of the same designs as the blankets and throws.
Kate & Kate Baby has been unveiled at Life Instyle Melbourne along with five new blanket and throw designs.
“I just think people like to have options and sometimes a larger blanket, if you’re buying for a newborn, can seem too big,” says Kate Pascoe Squires, Kate & Kate director. “It’s nice to have that option if you’re buying a gift for somebody… and then maybe upgrade to the larger one when the child is a little bit older. Also, we’ve got some beautiful kids stockists so we’d like to give them an option too – slightly lower price point but still definitely with the Kate & Kate aesthetic.
“We definitely had summer in mind [for the new designs]. We kind of had love as a bit of a theme so one of our designs is called the love letter and the collection grew from there. We’ve got some softer pastels – we were definitely inspired by the catwalks at the time and went for the softer pastels with lots of greys, lots of grey marls, snow white and then we also have lots of punches of colour too, so hopefully there’s something in there for everybody and every house.”
The summer range of blankets and throws are made of 100 per cent cotton and range in size from 85x100cm for the new baby blanket to 130x180cm for the throw.
