Danica Studio returns to Australia with launch of Big & Little
Tasmanian based wholesaler Big & Little has launched to trade after being given the distribution rights to the Danica Studio brand.
Owner Helena Facer started the business to create a better work/life balance while offering unique brands and her own designs.
While Danica Studio hasn’t been available for wholesale purchase in Australia since the previous supplier sold her business in 2011, Facer had been stocking its products directly from the brand at her retail store Funky Homes.
“It was a natural progression [to distribute it] because of how much we loved this brand and how it represented so well what I would offer in my own label, and most importantly how well it was received on just one little retail store and our customers that we work together to form a deeper relationship,” she explains.
Danica Studio offers home, bath and kitchen accessories including shower curtains, aprons, cosmetic bags and towels. A percentage of profits goes to Education without Borders to enhance educational opportunities in disadvantaged areas.
“It is actually a brand I personally love – one that has offered my retail customers something new and fresh, and one that is ever evolving each season with amazing new ranges that the designers behind each range have been given creative freedom to design, which is really reflected in the detail and uniqueness of each seasons catalogue. I really feel the passion and love come across in the ranges.”
Facer is looking forward to releasing the new range from Danica Studio next year and believes it is the best she has seen since she started stocking them four years ago.
Big & Little plans to add more brands to its portfolio as well as release its own designs, which are currently in development.
