Dogue launches franchise model
Dog boutique and spa retailer, Dogue, has moved into franchising with the aim of spreading the brand across Australia.
Dogue is expanding via a franchise model because the company believes the best service is provided by the owner of each store.
“There are many reasons behind our decision to expand through franchising, but the over-riding factor was to bring more owners into the business to ensure that we deliver outstanding customer service to our customers – both two legged and four legged,” says Margaret Hennessy, Dogue retail group CEO.
“Dogue Boutiques are so much about the community they are located in – providing intimate grooming, day care and information services to local dog owners – and with customers trusting us with their very special companions, we really believe that the best person to ensure outstanding customer service is the actual owner of the Dogue Boutique.”
Franchisees will provide stylish and upmarket dog products as well as grooming, day care and training. They will be able to support their local community while Dogue covers marketing, training and business support.
“Our goal is to provide the very best in canine care and services across Australia. To achieve this, we are looking for individuals who are absolutely committed to offering exceptional customer service, are highly motivated, feel the magic of ‘Dogue’ and are truly passionate about dogs and their care.”
Dogue’s move into franchising has been well received with the first owner close to signing and several more in discussions before the official launch.
“The Dogue brand is well known outside of New South Wales, as we have been very active in the pet industry since 2005. We think there are multiple locations in every state where Dogue boutiques can thrive,” adds Hennessy. “Our focus is initially to set up more boutiques in New South Wales and then to roll it out across Australia and even internationally.”
