Elk partners with Guide Dogs Australia on new range
Melbourne accessories brand Elk has released a range of handmade leather dog collars and leads in collaboration with Guide Dogs Australia.
The Elk x Guide Dogs collection includes black and tan leather designs, with 100 per cent of the profits donated back to Guide Dogs Australia.
Fashion brand Gorman is also involved and has released a selection of doggie raincoats in four different prints with matching jackets for their human friends.
Guide Dogs Victoria CEO Karen Hayes says she is delighted to see the organisation’s ‘crazy idea’ come to life.
“When we first came up with the concept, I thought: ‘Are we seriously going to pull something like this off?’
“Before I knew it, Elk and Gorman put up their hands to design, manufacture and stock their very own doggie ranges.”
Elk founder and creative director Marnie Goding says she has enjoyed learning about the work Guide Dogs Australia does.
“There are thousands of incredible stories of people both young and old who have gained greater independence through the services that this organisation provide, and we were inspired to participate in this collaboration to bring awareness to our customers and encourage them to support such a worthy cause,” she says.
Elk collars and leads are available now.
