Ethical toy brand launches in Australia
Bright Wonders has added a new brand to its portfolio, Rubbabu, a range of eco-friendly sensory toys that are unique, soft, safe and fun.
The baby products and children’s toys distributor will be showcasing the collection at the AGHA Melbourne Gift Fair in August as the company will launch the brand with 18 different toys, providing a good variety including balls, vehicles, educational toys and games.
Bright Wonders owner, Teresa Roos, Rubbabu ticks a lot of boxes and it also fulfils the continued return towards the natural, eco-friendly and sustainable toy movement.
“Rubbabu actually found us―our suppliers see how our portfolio and brand mix complement each other and want to be a part of it,” she explains.
“It is always a fabulous feeling when a great brand seeks us out and asks us to import on their behalf.”
Rubbabu is an ethical manufacturer and the factory is ICTI-certified which requires them to uphold various standards and to support the rights and wellbeing of factory workers. All Rubbabu toys exceed toy safety standards internationally and in Australia.
“We are expecting a very positive response to Rubbabu in Australia, enhanced by the fact that Rubbabu toys are a wonderful developmental aid for all children including those with special needs.”
Indeed, the main component of Rubbabu toys is natural rubber, which makes up 97 per cent of the toy. Natural rubber has many wonderful properties―it’s anti-microbial, hypo-allergenic and mildew-resistant. No fillers are added to the pure rubber from the tree. It is beaten until it gets foamy and is then baked into soft toys.
“Handmade in India from 100 per cent natural rubber and coated with high quality nylon flock from Spain, these classic toys with their soft, flexible texture and bright colours are designed for many years of play and learning.”
Bright Wonders has a wide portfolio of innovative toys that encourage learning, spark fun and invite creative play.
“We love toys that help children develop important cognitive and fine motor skills through play, as well as toys that encourage open ended play. Rubbabu makes simple toys and shapes that keep kids engrossed in imaginative play. The surface of a Rubbabu toy is soft and velvety which creates a super sensory experience and tactile stimulation. Rubbabu will be a perfect fit with the rest of our brands and we are excited that they are joining our award winning portfolio of toys.”
Rubbabu will be in stores by early July 2019.
