Fuzzy Factory mat named awards finalist
parents and industry specialists will put the fuzzy factory baby mat to the test after the product was named a finalist in this year’s mother and baby magazine awards.
nominated in the activity mat category, the product has undergone a number of developments over the past 12 years. the first version had no stuffing and came in three designs. in the last six years padding was added and the range grew to 15 designs.
the product, which can be used as a change rug, something soft to lie on or for prams, is now one of fuzzy factory’s best-sellers. now that it is a finalist it will be tested by mums at home and in a retail environment.
managing director kevin ho says it caught the judges’ attention for several reasons.
“definitely the luxurious feel and quality, its popularity with new parents, its multipurpose and user friendliness, value for money, and the number of retailers stocking the product,” he explains.
ho believes the award nomination is great exposure for his brand. “the visibility of our product gives our company great recognition and following, not only from our local consumers but suppliers overseas become interested to offer their ideas and work with us. i feel honoured to have immensely loyal support from such a broad range of businesses and every day new opportunities arise.”
the awards will be announced july 18 with winners to be published in the august/september issue of mother and baby magazine.
