Mark Jones Design has added another brand to its portfolio by obtaining exclusive distribution rights for US brand Goose Creek Candles, covering the top end of the candle market.
Director Mark Jones says he actually discovered the product here in Australia.
“We came across Goose Creek Candles from one of our top selling customers in country Victoria and a very good friend just before Christmas 2012,” he says.
“One phone call to Kentucky finding out more information about the company, several emails back and forth for the heads, then it took us very quickly into candle sales for May 2013 for our first shipment and could now turn into a potential gold mine for our company.
“One major influence that was the wow factor was once we came across the USA’s Facebook page – with over 150,000 likes – once [we] read the comments about the product, this was basically the turning point to start us.”
The candles are made with high quality fragrances and a double wick system. This allows for a clean burn and a potent aroma.
Jones is excited about bringing the product to the Australian market and says he’s had great feedback from some of his top customers.
“Once our huge sample range of 57 fragrances arrived, we set up meetings with several of our better customers and once they smelt this wonderful new range, the product alone won them over.
“We want the public to fall in love with the Goose Creek brand then go back into our supportive retailers for repeat business and spend more money with them,” he adds.
Jordan Meece, Goose Creek director of brand development says no matter the geographical location, Goose Creek Candles appeal to all.
“Our fragrances are true to life, clean, fragrant, long burning, and trendy. Anyone, anywhere enjoys burning a Goose Creek candle.”
An Australian website for Goose Creek Candles is under construction. The company is also working on fall and winter as well as spring 2014 products, and will also be introducing candle accessories.
