Wholesaler Hale Imports will unveil a selection of fun and colourful placemats by CounterArt from the Conimar Corporation at the Sydney Home & Giving Fair this February.
The product was discovered at the Chicago trade fair and brought to Australia because it’s a unique addition to the market.
“We felt that the product offered a different choice for the market as the children’s mats were not only antibacterial but the designs were educational and fun,” says Ross Hale. “The pet mats were something that offered a choice for pet owners for their four legged children to keep the food area clean but that were also antibacterial.”
Children can choose from counting and numeracy, and look and find style designs, which are also double sided.
The antibacterial feature of the placemat is expected to be a selling point for parents. “The Microban product protection that the range is manufactured using is the most antimicrobial product protection in the world with a built in defense that inhibits growth of stain and odour causing bacteria, mould and mildew. It lasts through the lifetime of the mat and works to keep the mat cleaner between washing,” explains Hale.
Retailers have already shown strong interest in the products as Hale Imports gears up for the first major local fair of the year.
“We are expecting a continued growth of sales and confidence as we have seen since December.”
