Iberica releases The Red Button cuddle creatures in Australia
A hand-made line of original, quirky soft toys from central Portugal is now available in Australia after wholesaler and online retailer Iberica signed The Red Button (Botao Encanardo) for distribution.
Iberica owner and founder Jennifer Pinheiro Hayes discovered the brand while shopping on Etsy and was drawn to the fun and colourful nature of the range. Three designs are available, Monky, Flora and Toubi ranging between 35 and 50cm.
“The Red Button is the brain child of Teresa Moreira who created the cuddle creature plush toys from her wonderful imagination,” she says. “These characters come to life and have an amazing child-like narrative which Teresa has dreamed and breathed life into. These toys are unique, cute and 100 per cent kid friendly. They make the perfect cuddle companion.”
The cuddle creature range is part of Iberica’s decision to push further into the children’s market. It is looking at adding additional ranges in this area and found The Red Button while searching for products.
“Our focus at Iberica has always been about discovering pretty things from Portugal that everyone will love wherever they are in the world. We are also about promoting century old handicrafts that are at risk of being forgotten. All of the items featured in our portfolio represent artisan traditions that have sustained villages for centuries. This is true of all the products found in our online store.
“The response so far has been incredible to Red Button. We have some exciting wholesale and promotional discussions in the pipeline that will see this range catapulted firmly into the gift industry limelight. We’re super passionate about this range as we are about all our Iberica discoveries.”
