Bath, body and spa brand iKOU has expanded its product range with a collection of textile products including cosmetic bags and heat pillows.
Co-founder Naomi Whitfield says the new pieces complement iKOU’s existing product lines as well as the brand’s ethos.
“iKOU products are designed to encourage rest and relaxation and bring the holiday feel into everyday life,” she says. “The new textiles we have introduced include heat pillows for easing tension and fabulous cosmetic bags for storing iKOU skincare, so they complete our ranges beautifully.”
The colours, textures and patterns used in the designs are inspired by nature and the products were made mainly by women in a rural Cambodian co-operative.
“The production of our pieces provides fulfilling work they can do while still caring for their children. It is such a happy workshop, filled with laughter and joy as well as a sense of pride in their work,” she explains. “The fabrics are all screen printed by hand. We were so excited to watch production taking place when they first began our fabric printing – there is a lot of passion in every piece.”
iKOU plans to add new colour designs to the range on a seasonal basis. It has had a strong reaction to the textile range with pieces selling well.
“The response has been fantastic. Re-orders have been coming in so quickly after initial deliveries, with stockists reporting great sales results.”
