Laptop and tablet case brand launches to trade
Eight years spent running a successful creative agency gave Tessa Pacitti and Raewyn Metcalfe the skills to launch their own brand of laptop and tablet cases, Hello Hunter.
Wanting a creative outlet, the duo started Hello Hunter earlier this year with a range of four designs inspired by bright and stylised imagery ranging from sculptural architecture to urban art.
“Tablet and laptop cases are a great way to express your individual style,” says Pacitti. “Working in design and advertising, we’re always on the go and found we wanted more than one case depending on our mood, outfit or the nature of a meeting.
“Yet we found that inspiring designs weren’t available and other cases were either low cost and lacking in quality or high end and really expensive.”
The pair has enjoyed the challenge of creating their own brand, including designing the products and interpreting an everyday item in a new way.
Functionality is also extremely important, and Pacitti and Metcalfe spent 12 months doing market research, design and testing to ensure they got the product right. Each case is crafted from thick, high quality neoprene and is large enough to hold a small notepad along with your chosen device.
“It was really important to us that these cases didn’t just look good,” says Metcalfe. “Tablet and laptop cases are everyday accessories and so they need to withstand every day wear and tear.”
The duo is currently working on their next range, which should launch early next year.
