Larder launches new homewares and jewellery ranges
Homewares wholesaler Larder has released a new range of homewares in time for the festive season.
Owner Nicole Reschke says they wanted to add touches of vibrant colour to the range for Christmas and so far the reaction has been overwhelming.
“We took our new products to the August Home & Giving Fair in Melbourne, with great results,” she says. “It was by far the most successful year we’ve had. We were amazed with the response, especially to our Sunshine mugs and bowls, which were a show favourite.”
Nicole and her husband Dru started Larder in 2012 after struggling to find elegant, durable dinnerware that was affordable for their homewares stores.
“We have come a long way in two years, we started with fine porcelain crockery, but the range has quickly expanded. We now have lighting, vases, homewares, kitchenware, a jewellery line, and even an interactive children’s peak-a-boo bear.”
Larder’s new jewellery line is called Lucy & Alice after Nicole and Dru’s two daughters. The range has over 100 pieces, and also had a great response at the fair.
“We had a great reaction to our jewellery range at the fair, I think people loved that we were offering something a little different to what’s already on the market,” says Nicole.
“We have split the range into four distinct collections. Our Wooden Collection is coastal inspired and great for everyday wear. Our Resin and Metal collection is sophisticated – perfect for evening cocktails by the beach. The Colourful Resin collection is young, bright and fun. The Urban collection is classically cool, the pieces looking amazing worn with black.”
As owners of two homewares stores in country South Australia – Koonara Wines in Penola and Loaves and Fishes in Robe – Nicole and Dru understand the retail market and knew they wanted to make sure the jewellery range, as with their homewares, was affordable.
“We are finding more people in our homeware stores want good quality items that are affordable,” says Nicole.
The jewellery range is available now. The new homewares collection will be available from October 2014.
