Moroccan inspiration for Naudic’s spring/summer range
lifestyle brand naudic has launched its latest resort wear collection featuring influences from exotic location morocco with bright colours and striking patterns.
founders and co-designers melissa anderson and emma puttick have infused the range with current fashion trends such as crochet, colour, prints and casual layering.
“morocco’s rich culture is reflected in naudic’s 2012 summer collection,” says anderson. “the range is characterised by a searing bright colour palette of sunset orange, emerald green, capri blue and rose violet influenced by the colours of this beautiful north african country. our never-ending love affair with vibrant mosaic prints and intricate embroideries capture the artisan spirit.”
the new collection builds on naudic’s previous spring/summer collection by adding a cultural twist.
“the new range is a low key approach to style by combining timeless pieces with diverse elements; a subtle rumpled elegance with an undeniably bohemian chic style. our philosophy is not to continually re-invent but to evolve our brand. the major difference would be last summer’s range direction was beachy bohemian style with no deliberate cultural influences.”
launched four years ago, naudic now has more than 300 stockists in australia and new zealand. it releases each clothing style in four to six colours or patterns. dresses are consistently the most popular pieces in each range so far.
“our customer is at the forefront of our mind during our design process and we know ‘she’ is a multi-tasker, confident, and enjoys her personal style and attitude to life,” puttick adds. “we’re inspired by various cultures, unique treasures and stylish woman from across the world, and the spring collection reflects this through beautiful prints in vibrant colours, delicate embroideries, light cotton fabrics, and feel-good shapes.”
