New Aussie luxury brand Ella Kaye launches
Australian made and owned luxury sleepwear brand Ella Kaye has just launched, taking pyjamas to a whole new level of chic, comfort and craftsmanship.
Ella Kaye was born when mother and daughter-in-law duo, Robyn and Eloise Collins, struggled to find special occasion pyjamas for Eloise’s wedding back in 2018.
After noticing a general lack of luxury sleepwear options for the more mature market in Australia, they decided to draw on Robyn’s experience in retail buying and interior design and Eloise’s background in arts to fill this gap in the market .
“We found that most brands were either too youthful, too revealing in their cuts or were poorly made,” explains Eloise.
“With us both needing a creative outlet, we decided to start our own sleepwear brand to cater to the mature, high-end consumer—we wanted to offer a quality, premium range of sleepwear that became a mainstay in everyone’s wardrobe.”
The brand is inspired by the Beach Pyjama of the 1920s—a loose-fitting two or three-piece trouser set worn by women along the Côte d’Azur of Southern France. With the fabric featuring hand-painted watercolour designs by a local Melbourne artist, the range is reflective of this era; luxurious, comfortable and carefree.
Understanding that there’s no ‘one size fits all’, the range has been specifically designed to cater to as many sizes and body shapes as possible to ensure every woman feels stylish, comfortable and confident, the duo adds.
“We spend so much money on day-to-day clothes, but the one item of clothing we spend the most time in, we’re not investing in.
“Given the increase in people working from home, having a comfortable and fashionable lounge or sleepwear set is a must—we want to make women feel luxurious in their own home or abroad.”
The Ella Kaye pyjama set is available now in four colours.
