Pet products for your eco conscious customers
Pets are an important part of people’s lives and are often considered a member of the family, so it’s no surprise we love to pamper our four legged friends and ensure they have everything they need.
It was this affinity for animals that inspired Tiffany Lowes to start her business back in November 2015.
“Mimi’s Daughters was started out of a love for animals, originality and anything handmade,” she says. “We also saw a gap in the market for modern, unique cat furniture and toys.”
The company designs products that are practical but also contemporary for inside the home.
“We value handmade merchandise, that’s why we have a small community of 10 Nepalese artisans producing small batches of our product. We are all about supporting local producers, creating employment opportunities and promoting ethical fair-trade conditions.
“Using bio-degradable materials for all our products is essential for the environment and future existence of wildlife,” explains Lowes.
Mimi’s Daughters exhibited at the AGHA Sydney Gift Fair in February to connect with retailers and create awareness of the brand.
“The response was very positive and many people were interested to find out more about our products,” Lowes enthuses.
“While mainly pet stores stock our products, we would love to be involved with home stores and gift stores as we see the products as pieces of liveable artwork.
“We plan to continue attending as many relevant events as possible, keeping up to date with social media and hopefully venturing into more products. We also aim to work alongside animal rescue centres to be able to give back to those pets that are looking for their forever home.”
