Sheldon and Hammond awarded for Scanpan brand in Australia
sheldon and hammond (s&h) has been awarded the diploma of the danish export association and his royal highness prince henrik’s medal of honour for its excellence in marketing and distribution of the scanpan brand in australia and new zealand.
the medal was presented by the danish ambassador to australia susanne shine to s&h managing directors sandy and ken angus last week in the utzon room of the opera house, which is one of the hallmarks of danish architecture.
ken angus used the celebration to announce a new joint venture that solidifies scanpan and s&h’s relationship – the opening of scanpan usa where jesper brund will take the position of president.
australia is scanpan’s largest market worldwide built on s&h’s marketing and distribution.
“with extensive distribution channels and impressive export figures from denmark, coupled with high brand awareness, sheldon and hammond has certainly made an outstanding effort in promoting the danish scanpan brand in australia,” shine says.
scanpan’s relationship with s&h and australia began 20 years ago with a newspaper ad for a wholesale cookware business. by the end of that week s&h purchased the distribution rights, backed up a single truck and left with nine pallets of stock.
since this time, s&h has worked closely with scanpan to introduce state of the art cookware technology to the ever evolving australian homewares industry.
