Splosh launches new Wish jars collection
Gift and homewares wholesaler Splosh has taken inspiration from the current Mason jar trend for its latest range, Wish jars.
Created by the design team after exploring ideas for a product range for special occasions, the jars are a great gift that people will keep forever.
“We have always loved creating products that can be personalised and given special meaning to the person who receives them,” says Splosh owner Kim Kendall. “This is why we wanted to create a new concept for special occasions that could be kept long after the special day.
“The product had to meet the criteria of being something people would love to give or receive, be meaningful and look appealing and ‘on trend’ while also hitting the right price point. We love what we came up with – with titles for 18th, 21st, birthday, baby, wedding, engagement and generic wishes.”
The idea of the Wish jar is that guests at an event will write short messages or wishes and place them inside the jar. By the end of the event, the jar will be full of notes – and memories – of the occasion that can be kept forever and looked back upon as a reminder of the event.
“We love this idea of keeping the jar as a keepsake while almost doubling as a time capsule,” explains Kendall.
Wish jars come in a sleek and contemporary design but have a vintage feel with blackboard-style tag, natural twine and natural card packaging. These elements also touch on the ‘eco’ trend. Though Wish jars haven’t hit the market yet, the response to this product has blown Kendall away.
“Everyone who has managed to get a peek is eager to get their hands on them. We are really looking forward to releasing the product and being able to promote them to the public.”
Wish jars will be launched at the Sydney Reed Gift Fair this month and will be available in stores at the same time.
