Urban Nest Designs launches exclusive artwork range
Created by Sydney artist Vanessa Ashcroft, Urban Nest Design’s Art Series range of framed canvas artworks is a brand-new addition to the wholesaler’s collection and exclusive to the brand.
There are eight works in the limited-edition range, which was launched at this year’s Sydney Home & Giving Fair, and director Danica Sleap says they are ideal for retailers looking for something different.
“Retailers who are keeping up with current trends are always looking for fresh new stock, and our oversized original art canvas works are perfect for them.”
Urban Nest also launched a number of other new products at the fair—including the Rope storage range, new cushions and tea towels—that were inspired by trends in Australia and abroad. “While not being a slave to any one style we like to keep things fresh,” says Sleap. “This year, for instance, we have added a lot of simple monochrome, along with pops of fresh mint or warm blush plus texture via beautiful quality cotton, velvet and linen.
“As usual we wanted to bring really exciting and different homewares into the Australian market at an affordable price. Our new ranges are sophisticated but still fun, so you don’t need to overthink your space. We want people to be able to add them to their home and then just relax surrounded by things they love.”
The brand also extended its children’s offering, after customer requests for a more stylish but still fun range for kids’ spaces, including kids wall art, marquee lights and the wood bunting range, which is an extension of Urban Nest’s popular hand-painted wooden magnet collection.
“We design everything with our customers in mind, and generally they are someone who likes a bit of colour, but still enjoys a genuine simplicity in design. Our ranges are always designed to complement our previous ranges so that our customers can add to their existing collections.”
For Sleap, it was a very successful Sydney fair, and her products were right on trend. “Our new cushions are flying out the door at the moment as the designs are eye catching but simple, which works with a lot of the beautiful wood, copper and metal tones we are seeing everywhere in homewares at the moment.”
The Art Series collection will be in stores in May.
