DearDiary moves focus to Scribble-it range
After launching with a collection of patterned cushions, stationery and art prints in 2013, DearDiary has streamlined its offering to Scribble-it, a collection of products that can be drawn on and coloured in, because of popular demand.
“During the past year I saw a rising trend in the demand for products that can be personalised and a need for more stylish keepsake items for events,” says Jazmine Bradley, designer DearDiary. “Our black Scribble-it cushion was outselling every other product in the initial range and I had more and more enquiries asking if we had an extended range of Scribble-it items.”
DearDiary unveiled the focused collection in the First Instyle section of Life Instyle Melbourne earlier this month. The products include cushions, softies, bunting and wallpaper as well as permanent and washable markers to use on the items.
“Our keepsake philosophy is what sets the Scribble-it range apart from other draw-on/colour-in products. The only product that people can compare our Scribble-it cushion to is the good old calico signature bear found in craft stores, which has been there since forever. I decided to offer a fresh and modern alternative.
“I have always been into ‘creating keepsakes’ like scrapbooks and signature canvases… but all you do with those is put them on a shelf or store them away, so I thought it would be nice for people to have a reason to display their memories and in a tactile way.
“I have designed the Scribble-it range so that it is very versatile no matter what your age, gender or purpose is for the end product, whether that be signing it on the last day of school, at a farewell party, an engagement or just a fun activity to get the kids being creative.”
DearDiary plans to expand on the Scribble-it range with more products aimed at inspiring creativity in children, more designs with chalkboard ink and a luxe collection for weddings and formal events.
