As we celebrate 40 years of Australian Giftguide magazine we take a look back at some of the more memorable products to have graced our pages. Described by its creators at The Ideas Machine as “the environmental warrior of the ‘90s”, the Schnook was the perfect gift for mini Al Gores everywhere. The sunglasses wearing toy had a soft felt body under long grey hair and came with six interchangeable placards with messages like ‘Consumption is destruction’ and ‘Avoid the greenhouse effect’.
